Helping out in a uncertain world

Today’s world is struggling to keep up. The economy is in crisis, stocks are falling, crime is on the rise. It is no wonder we are so stressed and tense. Things can get stressful so,  doing the small things like taking out the trash for your wife or picking up something on your way home from work is important. Today’s society is all about “Me! Me! Me!”. This is something that I don’t necessarily hear, its what I feel and get off society. We need to look out for one another.

You can do simple things like ask a neighbor if they need something while your out to the store. Helping  a person out like this, can save them some gas money. You can also drive past your neighbors home, if they are gone. This might hinder a burglar or catch a fire before its too late.

Volunteer work is also a good idea. I volunteered for habitat for humanity when I was younger. It taught me a  little about construction. I felt better about giving someone a home. A great idea to help out those in need is to donate money or food. There are many people without homes and food. I see people struggling every day with foreclosures and homelessness.

The last thing that many people don’t consider is giving someone a ride. It can be dangerous today but  it is kind. There are many dangerous people out there who give strangers rides, so why cant a good person. All I am saying is we need to stop focusing on ourselves and lend a reaching hand to our brothers and sisters. If we do simple things like the things mentioned above we better ourselves and give  our children an example to live up to.

  1. I agree with you ,we are living in a world of crisis. We can do more to help out by showing that we care about others and try to help them out. There are a lot of people out there are really struggling to survive in our uncertain world. Prayer and belief are a good combination to turn to.
